You may or may not have heard of Tim Packer, a Canadian artist known to have a very successful career as a professional artist with a love to help other artists succeed as well. I first stumbled on one of his videos on YouTube when I was just bored one day scrolling through YouTube wondering which video to watch next. Tim got my attention, for some reason. I don’t remember what the title for the first video was for me but it was enough for me to click on. He explained things more clearly and easy to understand.
The more I watched his videos, the more it made sense to why I had given up on becoming an artist myself and growing my skills. I really thought you had to be good at something, even at time of birth, before you could develop a kill to go for it full time. He helped open my mind of a growth mindset. I truly thought that I knew enough of growth mindsets, but I just brushed it off. Having low self-esteem didn’t help either. He made the dream come alive in my heart, that I could pursue this dream that had been in my heart since childhood but was too fearful to grow the skills needed to become a professional artist. I unfortunately believed that no one could ever succeed as an artist. Tim helped me believe again. Tim helped me dream again.
Tim Packer was the reason why I had started this journey. I overcame so much already, including depression, anxiety, and homelessness, I’m determined to overcome the skills needed to be successful here. I am not giving up on this dream again. I’m moving forward.
